Turchia. Non solo è il mio pasto preferito, tuttavia ora è finito per essere uno dei miei paesi preferiti. Dopo il nostro lungo viaggio traghetto dalla Grecia alla città portuale di Marmaris in Turchia, abbiamo camminato con le nostre borse pesanti circa 4 km al nostro hotel. Ancora una volta, grazie a Booking.com, abbiamo avuto una casa con Wi-Fi, colazione e una grande piscina per $ 11.
Eravamo così esauriti dal lungo viaggio che ci siamo sistemati per un pisolino di 3 ore, si è svegliato per cena e poi di nuovo a letto! Marmaris è stata una buona città portuale, tuttavia essenzialmente era solo una posizione per tutto il Regno Unito da raccogliere. Qualunque cosa sia stata creata per loro: i giochi di fooie giocano a sorta nei ristoranti, colazioni complete dell’inglese – compreso la pancetta posteriore (anche se questo è un paese musulmano!), Pesce e chip su salsa di HP speciale, fagioli da forno, colazioni scozzesi Totale con budino nero … ecc. Era una travetta generale dei viaggiatori.
Ogni negozio che allineato il lungomare era un web caffetteria, negozio di souvenir, agenzia di viaggiatori, ristoranti western tipo, bar o negozi di indumenti. Ci siamo andati in giro così come andavamo all’esposizione durante il giorno e che era essenzialmente. Non il nostro tipo di città.

Dopo 2 notti ci siamo trasferiti per scoprire un posto molto più appartato, tranquillo e locale. Abbiamo scelto in una città lungo il Mediterraneo chiamato Kabak. Se stai cercando da qualche parte fuori dal sentiero battuto in Turchia occidentale, questo è il posto. Abbiamo preso un autobus da Marmaris a Fethiye, a Oludeniz, a Kabak e poi ha camminato giù per un sentiero roccioso di 2 km da dove era il nostro “campo”. L’intera area era sbalorditiva, assolutamente mozzafiato.
Siamo così grati abbiamo scelto di andare con tutto lo sforzo per raggiungere quel punto. La posizione era chiamata Shambala e un campo era un campo totalmente in natura, in una zona completamente non sviluppata, circondata da alberi, situata sul lato di una scogliera pura con vista eccezionale sul Mediterraneo in basso, oltre a enormi scogliere su entrambi lato.
Aveva un’atmosfera hipposa e rilassata e così come era così eccezionale che abbiamo finito per i costi di 5 notti lì. Questa posizione è ideale per i backpackers del piano di budget. Il campo era totale con capanne, bungalow, tende, ristorante in loco, piscina, area di chillot e bar. Abbiamo scelto una capanna all’estremamente schienale del campo, più lontano sulla scogliera con le migliori viste sul mare. Abbiamo anche avuto un bagno all’interno della nostra capanna e una zanzara per coprire il letto … che mi è piaciuto da quando non c’era una finestra o una copertura sul lato anteriore della capanna, qualsiasi cosa potrebbe (e ha fatto) entrare!
Avevamo un incidente di ragno. Una bestia grande, nera, macchiata, mostruosa di un aracnide … Beh, la dimensione del palmo della mia mano comunque. Non riuscivo a dormire mantenere quella cosa sul muro sopra le nostre teste, non era in un web quindi era certamente un cacciatore. Abbiamo dovuto ottenere uno dei lavoratori per trovare così come eliminarlo dai locali. Non avevamo nemmeno problemi, diciamo grazie a Dio.

Ogni mattina e la notte è stato servito un grosso buffet di cibo e è stato incluso nel costo della stanza. I pasti erano così gustosi e cotti da uno chef regionale quindi siamo stati in grado di provare diversi piatti turchi. A colazione avremmo formaggi regionali, cetrioli, yogurt, pane fresco, uova sode difficili, cereali (sono pensati di cornflakes per locali?) Gozleme (pancake turco) al forno con spinaci e formaggio, così come un tè.
La cena era una scelta diversa ogni notte. Il nostro pasto preferito era estremamente molto primo; Quando eravamo le uniche persone che soggiornano al campo. Ci è stato servito al tonno appena catturato cucinato con spezie, fette di melanzane arrotolate e alla griglia con formaggio all’interno, funghi saltati, riso, insalata eco-compatibile, frutta regionale (tipo di albicocca), crema di zuppa di broccoli, pane Per quanto riguarda il dessert … le molte cioccolato del budino al cioccolato con trucioli di cocco in cima! Che è davvero turco, sono intesi per i loro budini. Ogni notte i pasti erano fantastici e abbiamo provato numerosi piatti diversi.
Abbiamo trascorso una grande quantità di tempo a leggere e abbronzando in piscina. Un paio di giorni abbiamo camminato 20 minuti lungo un sentiero per la più splendida baia per il nuoto. L’unico problema era che non c’era nessun tipo di ombra, quindi non potevamo passare tutto il tempo lì. Il mare era la temperatura ideale, la più chiara, molti acqua turchesi e che erano circondati da una pura scogliere tutto intorno.

Another day we chose to go to Butterfly Valley. It’s extremely touristy as well as is expected to be the nicest beach ever. So, we set off…2kms up the hill from our camp to the primary road, hitch-hiked with an English man from Liverpool to the top of the Butterfly Valley as well as then started our good down to the beach. It wasn’t easy, nor was it extremely safe, however it was the most exhilarating hike yet. The descent was on a narrow, rocky path, which zigged as well as zagged directly down the sheer 400m high cliffside. Once at the top we waited for a bus, none came. We tried to hitch-hike, nobody would stop. So, we started walking back in the warm of the day (over 30 degrees). So far in Turkey it’s been over 30 degrees every day. We walked for about 4kms as well as then lastly somebody chosen us up as well as took us to the turn-off to our camp, where we walked the 2kms down.
Along the method we saw a indication for “free spring water” so we stopped in to fill up our water bottles. After a few days there, we satisfied up with one more Canadian, Kyle from Vancouver. The tranquil yoga retreat area was sometimes disturbed by us yelling at the screen! All the locals were thinking about what we were watching. However, when they realized it wasn’t soccer, they brought on.

After a fantastic 5 nights there, we chose it was time to relocation on. We were eastbound for the town of Olympos, understood for its treehouses as well as bungalows in the forest! seems like one more fantastic location to relax.
